President

Mia Wang
Head of Finance
Mia Wang is a junior Information Systems major born in Shanghai but raised in New Jersey. She is an individual inspired by technology, music, food, TED, and just about everything else in the world. This is Mia’s second year working with finance on the TEDxCMU team and you can read her stream of consciousness tweets.
Brian Rangell
Head of Logistics
Brian feels a little silly talking about himself in the third person. A junior pursuing a BFA in Drama and a minor in Business, Brian somehow finds time to keep up with an unhealthy reality TV addiction. This is Brian’s third year with the TEDxCMU team and he is excited for another celebration of interdisciplinary thought and “Ideas Worth Spreading”. You can follow his twitter.
Judy Savitskaya

Judy Savitskaya is a senior Computational Biology major interested in the intersection between biology, technology, and philosophy. An avid traveler, she has studied in Spain, hiked in Costa Rica, and skied in Quebec. Check her out on twitter!.
Todd Medema
Head of Speaker Relations
Todd is an all-around guy, playing Clarinet and composing music, experimenting in art and photography, writing poetry and short stories (even a novel once!) and, most importantly, programming and doing business-y things. He is currently a student at Tepper School of Business minoring in computer science, and besides management and entrepreneurship Todd is also considering video game design.
Eunice Chung
Head of Design
Eunice is a junior studying Communication Design. She’s into delivering information in compelling ways and enriching people’s experiences through design. She enjoys textures of food, she dislikes stuffed dolls, and she wishes that she could play the upright bass. You can find her and her work here.
David Cummings
Speakers Team
David is a sarcastic optimist from the Upper West Side of Manhattan. When he’s not busy curing cancer or fighting terrorism, he studies computer science and plays the tenor saxophone. He likes eating good food, seeing good movies, listening to good music… but more than anything else, David loves playing sports. He’s very good at all of them.
Ketaki Desai

Ketaki is a graduate student in the Public Policy and Management Program at Heinz College. She is originally from India, but has never lived in a single city for more than 5 years. Aman Gulati

Having lived on 3 different continents, Aman truly considers himself as a citizen of the world. Half Indian, half Chinese and brought up in Nigeria, it doesn’t get much more international than that. Apart from studying Chemical Engineering at CMU, Aman is also a passionate dancer of many styles, and a devout follower of electronic music.
Andrew Polonsky

Andrew Polonsky is a senior Material Science and Chemistry double major obviously interested in changing the world with his engineering skills. Because he is from around Philadelphia, he is a hardcore Eagles fan. In his spare time he enjoys reading, brewing good beer, fine dining, and watching movies.
James Ranson
Speakers Team
James M. Ranson is a first-year Masters of Arts Management student at CMU’s Heinz College, and currently serves as a development intern at Pittsburgh Opera. A self-proclaimed “all-purpose tenor” since middle school, James loves both performing and listening to vocal, choral and a cappella music. He is also a box office manager, a film reviewer, an avid Crossfitter, and a fan of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire.

Hannah is a junior studying Vocal Performance who wants to pursue a career in Opera. She is a proud fifth generation Texan and an avid dog lover. Some of her other passions include music, traveling, and good food.

Lauren is a sophomore design major with an interest in animation, vintage movies and music. When she’s not making drafts for a new project, she can be found illustrating or curling up and watching a noir film. Lauren likes watching TED talks about design and living life to its fullest.

Maggie Soderholm is a senior Statistics major from San Diego, CA. Though she is still a Californian at heart, Maggie spent most of her life living in Singapore and India. Maggie has a great fondness for dogs and loves everything to do with food, from grocery stores to cooking, and especially eating. Maggie hopes to enter the tech start-up community on the west coast after she graduates.
Heidi Yang

Heidi is a deviant. As a sophomore Business Administration major who acts like she has more time on her hands than she actually does, her life is centered around contemplating everything from fractals to design to history and current events. She’s working on being good enough at something to be a speaker at a TED talk event eventually. Oh, she’s a great twitterer, too: @happygoheidi.

Craig is a senior computer scientist interested in starting his own enterprise. He is currently involved in an online car auction venture and hopes to become a serial entrepreneur with the nickname “code monkey”. Craig enjoys video games, star trek, and playing with his 7 kittens.
